Part of our SpotSee® guides and technical resources.
ShockWatch® 2 QR and TiltWatch® XTR QR work in two layers. Every indicator gives the same clear visual alert as before, and every indicator carries a QR code that anyone can scan with a phone. On top of that, SpotSee offers SpotSee Cloud — a central dashboard for organisations that want to manage their sensors in one place. Which of those you get depends on the pack size you buy. This guide explains the difference so you can choose with confidence.
What every QR indicator gives you — any pack size
Whether you buy a 10 pack or a 100 pack, each indicator can be scanned with any smartphone camera (Safari, Chrome or Firefox) or a handheld mobile computer. No app, no account and nothing to set up. A scan:
- Shows a clear verdict on screen — whether the indicator has been triggered, rather than leaving someone to judge how red a window looks.
- Captures an image of the indicator at the moment of the check, so the recipient has a picture taken on receipt.
- Identifies the indicator. On ShockWatch 2 QR the serial number is not printed on the label — scanning is how you read it. On TiltWatch XTR QR the serial is also printed on the face.
That alone is a real step up from a purely visual indicator: the person receiving the goods ends up with a photograph and an identified device, not just their memory of what the window looked like.
What SpotSee Cloud adds — 100 pack only
SpotSee supplies its 100 packs in its own box, carrying a unique Box ID and registration QR code. Scanning that box label creates or connects your organisation's SpotSee Cloud account and adds all 100 sensors to your dashboard in one step. From then on you get:
- Condition status for every sensor you have deployed, in one place
- Scan history per sensor — where and when each one was scanned
- Scan time and location, which are shown in the Cloud portal only (not on the recipient's phone)
- A view across many shipments, so you can see which routes, depots or handovers generate impacts or tilt events
- Multiple authorised users under one organisation, with permissions set by whoever created it
Why the 10 pack doesn't include Cloud registration
SpotSee issue one registration code per 100-unit box, and that code registers all 100 sensors to a single Cloud organisation. Our 10 packs are made up from those boxes, so the registration code cannot travel with them. The indicators in a 10 pack still scan and work exactly as described above — they simply are not registered to a dashboard.

Which should you choose?
- Choose the 10 pack for trials, low volumes and occasional shipments, where a visual check plus a phone scan on arrival is all you need.
- Choose the 100 pack if you ship regularly and want to manage your sensors centrally — to see every scan in one place, compare routes and handovers, and give several colleagues access.
If you are not sure, a 10 pack is an inexpensive way to try the indicators on your own shipments before committing to a box of 100.
